Dave Perry says the Gaikai cloud gaming service should launch
early next year, telling
VG247, "If it all goes to plan we’re looking at the first quarter of 2010,
and there’ll be a closed beta before that." They have a video interview with the
game entrepreneur following his keynote speech at the Develop conference where
he tells them they have 20,000 potential beta testers already signed up, and the
plan for testing the service will involve setting up servers in California and
"we’re going to keep delivering players until we cripple the servers." When they
have finally worked out all the kinks the service will launch in the US. A video
was released earlier this month showing Gaikai in action.
