MCV reports that
British publisher Empire Interactive has entered administration after what's
described as a last-ditch attempt to find a buyer for the struggling company was
unsuccessful. According to the report, employees of the company's London office
were sent home this week, and Empire is "in the process of making all employees
redundant." Word is Russian distributor and publisher Noviy Disk seemed
interested in picking up the UK publisher of the FlatOut series, but
those talks fell through. Administrator KPMG is expected to make an announcement
about the fate of Empire on Monday.
