The Sacred 2 Forum has a thread concerning the whereabouts of the Steam edition of the version 2.40 patch for Sacred 2: Fallen Angel released last week (thanks Dave). The thread has a post made today by Ascaron's Anca Adelina Finta explaining that there is apparently one person capable of making the patch steam-worthy, who is not going to be available until next week:

I hate to bring the bad news, but we want you to be informed.

The Steam version will come next week because the Steam employee who has to change the version to be compatible with Steam is not in the house until next week.

We are very sorry, but there is nothing we can change about it.
