The GSC Game World Forums has word that GSC Game World has released an older build of S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl, showing the state of the first-person shooter in 2004, a mere year after the oft-delayed game's original release date, offering insight into the evolution of S.T.A.L.K.E.R., which was eventually released in early 2007. Thanks 4players.de and ClanBase, where they shed a little further light on this xrCore build 1935 from Oct 18 2004, saying it uses "a completely different physics engine than the one used in the final retail version. This build is fully playable and contains all of the original levels as well as those that were cut such as Dead City, Swamp and Generators."
