MCV reports that Eidos has confirmed it is in the preliminary stages of a possible acquisition, the latest chapter in a lengthy saga surrounding the struggling publisher's uncertain future. Their suitor isn't named, though MCV speculates it may be Warner Bros., already owner of 20% of the company. Here is the Eidos statement on the topic: "The Board can announce that it has received a preliminary approach which may or may not lead to an offer being made for the Company. Eidos emphasises that discussions are at a very early stage and that there can be no assurance that an offer will be forthcoming."
