Overdue is apparently the new vaporware, as
Wired's Vaporware 2008 list is live, subtitled "Crushing Disappointments,
False Promises and Plain Old BS," which may be a reference to the fact that they
again honor Duke Nukem Forever, four years after
eliminating 3D Realms' long-overdue shooter from contention with a lifetime
vaporware achievement award. The soup seems to be a little thin this year at
Vaporware high command, as the new list also includes PlayStation Home
which they somehow argue qualifies in spite of being out, and StarCraft II
is now Vaporware by their estimation since it was announced in May
2007 but is not out yet. Other targets of their impatience are Hero's Journey,
cell phone projectors, and IE8. Thanks nin.
