Ten Ton Hammer has a statement from Stargate Worlds developer/publisher Cheyenne Mountain Entertainment about the rumor that employees there have not been paid in three weeks, prompted by a site dedicated to the situation called Days Since Cheyenne Mountain Employees Have Been Paid.com. Cheyenne's Kevin Balentine does not directly speak to whether they've been missing payroll, but he does admit they are a start-up in a cash-crunch: "We have maintained a core of dedicated investors, but the new economic realities are forcing us to seek out additional sources of funding and that's what we're doing." He also offers a status report on the Stargate MMOG: "We continue to move forward on the Stargate Worlds project. We recently completed a successful phase of closed beta testing and we will start a second phase early in 2009.
