Gamasutra reports that casual game developer WildTangent has closed its internal development team, and laid off about 20% of its workforce. The company is primarily a publisher, and will continue in this vein. The report also indicates that cofounder Alex St. John has stepped down from his role as CEO, though he continues on as chairman.
