Toronto,
Canada – July 24, 2008 – Today a new release date was announced for real-time
strategy war game East India Company. Originally scheduled for release in Q4
2008, leading software publisher Lighthouse Interactive and developer Nitro
Games decided to extend the release date to Q1 2009 in the best interest of fans
and the game. This dynamic real-time strategy war game for Windows® PC is based
on the exploits and adventures of the infamous 18th century East India
Companies. Playing as one of eight nations spanning Europe to the Far East,
players are challenged to build the World’s most powerful trading empire as they
engage in fierce open sea battles in both single player and multiplayer modes.
“East India Company promises to take Real-time Strategy War games to new
levels,” said Raymond Snippe, Senior Development Manager of Lighthouse
Interactive. “Allowing more development time further ensures that Nitro Games
will deliver the best gaming experience possible. We want to wow strategy fans
with EIC’s technically advanced proprietary game engine and incredible cinematic
game environments. We are confident that gamers will agree it’s worth the wait.”
