Today is Columbus Day here in the U.S., which is theoretically a holiday, though I don't know many folks who have ever gotten this as a day off, so it's not clear if it will have the same dampening impact on game news as more widely celebrated holidays. I'm guessing it won't, but I was also surprised to see the number of empty parking spaces in the lot when I dropped MrsBlue at the train this morning, so who knows?
