Matthias from The Patches Scrolls clarifies for us that the Arena Wars Reloaded demo mentioned earlier (story) includes support for multiple languages, including English, in spite of the fact that the installer is German only. Your language can be selected upon launching the demo after working through the German installer, which includes agreeing to the German EULA. The download is available on Arena Wars Website and mirrored on FileFront, FileNuts, and Gamer's Hell.
