I got sidetracked from cleaning the dogs when I discovered a splattering of tar on our poor damaged car worthy of the La Brea Tar Pits. I know when this happened, as I recently had the pleasure of waiting twenty-some minutes for road work to earn the opportunity to pass over a newly paved road. I have also learned it is probably about equally easy to scrub road tar off the road as it is to scrub it off a car.
