Morning Q&As

  • The Minions of Mirth
The Minions of Mirth Q&A, Part #1 on RPGDot introduces what's confusingly described as a "massively single and multiplayer RPG" in the works at Prairie Games: "Players can host their own worlds and mod the game's content and source code. When you host your own world, you can log into the game world as an Immortal. This gives you access to all sorts of special commands like controlling time, weather, monster spawns, etc. You can also setup other players as Immortals and Guardians to help administer your world. We provide the dedicated world server, full source to the game's RPG logic, and full source to the game's RPG database with a compiler, as a free download."
  • Dark & Light
The Dark & Light Q&A on MMORPGDot talks with Stephane Quilichini, lead designer on NPCube's upcoming MMORPG: "We do believe that pet AI and mounts use is a part of combat that has been very rarely that developed in a MMO. A player will be able to manage up to 3 pets at the same time and dozen "summons". If you are a group at the same place, I guarantee that the screen gets full very quickly! Combat will be at the level of other MMOs on the market. We chose to concentrate our innovative development to the MMO gameplay sometimes forgotten: economy and politics. As for the first politics action for instance, the opportunity to choose where to install a fortress and built it in real time."
  • Babylon 5
Gamecloud's J. Michael Straczynski Q&A talks with the Babylon 5 creator about Babylon5scripts.com, what happened to the B5 game, and the possibility of future game projects based on the cult-favorite science fiction series.
