- Icculus
Phoronix's
Q&A with Ryan C. Gordon talks with the programmer also known as Icculus
about his work on various Linux and Mac ports: "I'm currently living in
Raleigh, North Carolina, and work as a freelance developer; mostly I'm
associated with Epic Games, but that's not really accurate. They're one of
my favorite contracts, but what I do for a living is somewhat like mercenary
prostitution...I spend a lot of energy trying to find games to bring to
alternate platforms, like Linux and MacOS, and in my free time, I work on
various open source projects, and other freebies like that...so I guess I'm
a hooker with a heart of gold, sorta."
- Razer
Gamecloud's
Razer Q&A talks with Robert Krakoff of Razer about their gaming mouse
company's comeback, and their return to the fold of CPL sponsors after
failing to fulfill a prize a few years back (story): "We are
extremely happy to be back with the CPL. We share a unified view of the
future of professional gaming, and are looking forward to building a future
together. We also share similar perspectives on gaming as major
entertainment. We want to raise the awareness of professional competitive
gaming to the mainstream, both to the public and the potential partners who
are unaware or misinformed about our world and culture. Its nice to be
together again and supporting our common goals."
