sCary's Shack has posted a brief e-mail he received from John Carmack, which confirms that the new skeletal animation system that is being implemented into the Quake III: Arena engine will not in fact be included in the next Q3Test release (1.09), as well as word that the next version is still "a bit off". In other words, don't expect a release anytime soon.
