We're having a fine old time with the little Smurfs (thanks to the forums for re-dubbing our temporary wards with an even better tag), though as their comfort level with us rises, so does the likelihood of outbursts... but they are good kids, and everything eventually works out. Anyway, the older boy, who is six, is interested in watching the Giants game with me today, which will be fun. He's already rooting for the Giants, so today the lesson plan will focus on how much we hate the Cowboys. Of course, this could potentially lead to a complicated conversation about how we can still love Coach Parcells while hating his team, but perhaps the subtle psychosis of the hard-core sports fan is a lesson we should save for when he gets a little older.
