A story on IGN (thanks Frans) has news of problems for another game title, as they have word from Carbon6 Entertainment cofounder American McGee that Carbon6's plans for a game based on The Wizard of Oz are "dead in the water." According to the story, with Infogrames having pulled out of the deal and other publishers wary of a property that's unproven in the video game arena, production on the game has halted. Any future development of an Oz game is dependant on what happens with the movie rights to the project, which were recently optioned to Jerry Bruckheimer Films and Walt Disney Pictures (story).
