Just gonna blather about the new messageboard again for a bit... it looks like the CPU is holding steady, and since folks are using the Q3Tour board for off-topic posts, we'll probably launch a couple of other more general boards today (suggestions on this are welcome) to cover the overflow and expand the stress testing. Furn tells me the only evidence of any problems anyone may be having is a glitch for MSIE 3.0 users (it whacks ampersands into HTML), and it sounds like the solution for this seems to be to upgrade your browser.

Link of the Day: Technology News from Wired News reports on a "Plasma-Powered Trip to the Stars" (thanks DNapalm). More real science meets Star Trek: "the Mini-Magnetospheric Plasma Propulsion system, or M2P2, has a maximum speed of 180,000 miles per hour, or 4.3 million miles a day...Although it cannot be used within earth's atmosphere, the system could theoretically shoot a spacecraft across the continental United States in just 10 seconds." Okay, it's not quite warp speed, but it beats walking.
