I've received several complaints about the new 3Dfx mini-driver, including a couple of mentions of the return of Half-Life ALT-TAB problems (thanks Mat Bettinson), and complaints of reduced framerates. I haven't had any real confirmation that there's an identifiable problem on some systems, but if you are having trouble with the new minidriver, you may want to try the older one and see if it helps.
