GameSpyDaily
has a confirmation of reports that Atari has closed its
Hunt Valley, MD office, finishing off what remained of Microprose after the
pioneering developer was acquired by Hasbro and then Infogrames (now Atari). The
article quotes Nancy Bushkin, Atari's VP of corporate communications on the
closure, which was prompted by a lack of work for the studio, which most
recently completed work on D&D Heroes. 35 employees were let go as part of
the move.
