We're off to celebrate our little niece Jenna's first birthday today. We're actually a week late here, as her actual birthday was last weekend. At first I thought of this as an inconsequential delay, and it is probably correct to think that the birthday girl will not actually notice the difference. On the other hand, the week actually represents almost 2% of the time since she was born, so if this was a trend that were to continue, by the time she's 52, these parties will be a full year late. I guess we ought to nip this in the bud.
