America's Army SNAFU

This America's Army Forum Post (thanks Frans) quotes the AA project leader from IRC, saying the version 1.9 patch in the story below this is genuine, it has been prematurely released, and therefore no servers are online yet (apparently the server port is still being finalized). According to one of the posts, until the release goes live, version 1.9 clients will be unable to authorize. A subsequent post by Abraxas has word straight from the game's executive producer/director:

Due to a security issue with one of our third-party vendors, 1.9 was mistakenly made available. For those who download it, be advised that there are no official servers available to play, and you will be unable to authenticate. We are still in the process of setting up servers for 1.9. As soon as this process is complete, 1.9 will become functional.
