EA and Looking Glass Studios have released details on the character generation in System Shock 2 as well as some other gameplay bits, as laid out in this press release I've just posted. It's pretty interesting stuff, including the ability to choose traits, and even a "Gameboy-like 'Game Pig' that allows [players] to play full, old-school games while exploring the 3D world."
