Here's a whole bunch of System Shock 2 news for you: the official System Shock 2 site has been updated with a new desktop wallpaper image, as well as a new movie. PC.IGN has posted a rundown of the weapons in the game, complete with images (thanks to SShock2.com for those two). Lastly, Billy "game of the year" Wilson has posted an e-mail he received from Ken Levine, which says that the multiplayer patch for the game will be available as a free download after the game's release. They delayed the multiplayer to add features such as being able to see the weapons in people's hands. You may recall that the game has indeed gone gold (story) and will be available in stores on August 12th.
