If you live in our around the state of Michigan, I want to express some envy. After visiting his family there, a coworker of MrsBlue's has again blessed us with a gift of some hot BBQ beef jerky that is apparently a specialty of the region. This is easily the best jerky I've ever tried... far from the dried and crumbly stuff sold in supermarkets, this is moister, more flavorful, and incredibly spicy. Great stuff... if you like spicy food and find yourself in that neck of the woods, you owe it to yourself to find some of this, which is apparently sold in most corner delis by the pound.

We're spending the day here at the Blue Tower sending out positive thoughts and hopes for a successful surgery for Willie, a cat owned by friends of ours. Willie is Hudson the wonder dog's best animal buddy in the world, and he goes under the knife today for what seem likely to be cancer... the good news is they found it early, but his situation is quite serious nonetheless, so we're keeping our fingers and toes crossed for good news.
