Strategic Alliance, Settle Patent Litigation is a press release from SGI announcing an

NVIDIA has licensed SGI's enabling 3D graphics patent portfolio, and SGI has licensed

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., July 20 /PRNewswire/ -- SGI (NYSE: SGI - news) and NVIDIA Corporation (Nasdaq: NVDA - news) today announced the creation of a
broad strategic alliance to collaborate on future graphics technologies. As part of the
agreement, SGI has dismissed its patent infringement suit against NVIDIA and NVIDIA has
licensed SGI's enabling 3D graphics patent portfolio. As part of the alliance, SGI has
licensed NVIDIA's patent portfolio. Further terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
SGI is a recognized leader in 3D graphics, multimedia and computer systems technology
since its founding in 1982 and has been awarded more than 400 patents related to these
technologies.
