On a similar topic, a post on Outcast2 - Das deutsche Portal (thanks Shacknews) by former Appeal designer Carlo Fabricatore, describes the shutdown of Appeal, offers apologies for the fate suffered by the Outcast II project, corroborating the reports on how all this played out, which has not yet been officially announced or confirmed.
