Publisher Secret Mode announces Siren's Rest, a new expansion for Still Wakes the Deep that will arrive on June 18th for the BAFTA-winning narrative horror game developed by The Chinese Room. This is coming to PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5, and listings for the Windows edition are live on the Epic Games Store and Steam. The Official Announce Trailer takes us back to 1986, about a decade after the groovy setting of the base game, for a deep dive into this trip to the bottom of the North Sea. The description has a flood of details:
Set over a decade after the events of Still Wakes the Deep, players will sink below the waves of the North Sea to explore what’s left of the Beira D. Swim through the underwater wreckage armed with a cutting torch, crowbar, and camera, and try to piece together the final moments of the oil rig’s crew. But beware - there are things lurking in the depths that even the sea cannot claim.
Siren’s Rest features a new story written by Sagar Beroshi (Helldivers 2) and introduces a new voice cast. Lois Chimimba (Doctor Who, Shetland) stars as Mhairi alongside Lorn Macdonald (Bridgerton, The Lazarus Project) and David Menkin (Final Fantasy XVI, Alan Wake 2), and the cast are once more directed by Kate Saxon.
