1047 Games announces that over three million players have downloaded Splitgate 2 since the multiplayer portal shooter threw its hat into the ring as a free-to-play release last Friday. A report yesterday suggests engagement is down versus its predecessor, but here's what the developer has to say:
The unique free-to-play shooter arrived on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One, with crossplay across all available platforms on June 6, and in that time has seen millions of players jumping in to experience the massive variety of modes the game has to offer - from Arena modes to a brand new, wholly unique battle royale that spans five separate maps connected by huge portals, the game has a ton to offer players and is now officially 1.0.
