.HEADSPACE Announced

Solo developer Diana Jean Keith announces .HEADSPACE. a 2D psychological adventure "coming soon" to PC via Steam. This promises "exquisite pixel art and hand drawn graphics," and provides an Official Trailer with a first look. Word is it will combine the serene calm of a walking simulator with the serene calm of a visual novel, but as the clip shows, things start to get weird in what's described as its "fraught and fragmented landscape." Here's more:

Players take on the role of an unknown wanderer who has lost his memory and needs to interact with a diverse cast of characters who may or may not have your best interest at heart. Weaving together walking sim mechanics interspersed with light puzzling elements, events unfold in the style of a visual novel to help you unlock who you are and how to get home. The inaugural project by visual artist and lifelong game enthusiast-turned-game-developer, Diana Keith, .HEADSPACE leaves you entirely alone and unsure of who you are, with the main purpose of the adventure to gain clarity, confidence and connection to reawaken yourself and recall your true purpose. The game also features a 15+ track fully realized original soundtrack (OST) with intricately composed music by the inimitable Magic From Space, who also assisted with sound effects and contributed voice line work.
