HomeLAN Cracks Down On Cheaters
is a story describing new measures being pursued by HomeLan to help curtail
cheating on their game servers. They claim to be able to discern which players
are cheating on their servers (through means they are not willing to divulge)
and are adding them to a system-wide banlist that now contains nearly 1000
players they have determined are cheating. Also, this just in from Cyberathlete Professional League:
"CPL and iGames announce the largest combined CPL Qualifying Tournament to
be hosted by 11 Game Centers across North America on September 29 & 30.
Tournament winners will receive an Autoberth to the CPL $150,000 World
Championships." Those championships are scheduled for this December in
Dallas.
