As promised yesterday (story), the PaleStar website reports that all players' prestige has been zeroed out in the open beta of DarkSpace. They also mention that there has been a change to the way prestige is calculated "making it more fair to those who engage in combat able to progress in rank at the same rate of engineers, support, and transports." Points are now awarded based on the type of ship engaged, rather than the rank of the other player." Finally, a subsequent note says that moderators no longer have the ability to pilot any ship they choose, and that any servers where this is still being allowed to happen need to be restarted.
