To paraphrase Mark Twain, it seems rumors of Sir-tech Canada's demise have been greatly exaggerated. Clearing up the confusion that contributed to this morning's report that Sir-tech Canada had shut down (story), RPGvault has posted the following email from Ian Currie as well as a forum post with further clarification:

Yes, my last day is today as I've joined another company. This has no effect on Wizardry 8.

Sirtech continues to exist.

And here's the post he made to Software Specialties' Wizardry 8 Forum:

This email was replying to someone asking for help with a JA2:Unfinshed Business 'mod'.

It IS my last day with Sirtech (I really have nothing to do here), but the "everyone" I was referring to were Jagged Alliance programmers.

Sirtech Canada continues to exist - if only to support Wizardry 8.

Just wanted to clear that up...
