The folks at Activision send along this
press release announcing that following their acquisition of rights to make
Spider-Man and X-Men games (story), they have added Marvel
Comics' The Fantastic Four and Iron Man to their legion of superheroes (oops,
wrong company), which also includes Marvel's Blade. Word is they have obtained
"exclusive worldwide rights to develop and publish interactive games for
the next-generation console systems and the PC based on these renowned
properties." The release goes on to point out that both properties are also
currently in production as movies, though the direct-to-video fate of Captain
America and The Punisher, and the decades-long struggle to bring Spider-Man to
the big screen suggest one not hold one's breath for those to show up in theaters anytime soon.
