Slitherine announces
Astra Militarum is now available
on Steam for Windows and for consoles, adding new DLC to
Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector, one of the 40,000 or so Warhammer 40K
strategy games, marking the first content release since Slitherine
took over
development on the project. Move over space marines, there's a new sheriff in
town: "The Astra Militarum are the foundation of the Imperium's strength: a
vast, loyal, and unified fighting force unmatched across the galaxy. Known for
their overwhelming numbers, formidable firepower, and unbreakable loyalty to the
Emperor, the Astra Militarum embodies the Imperium's power on the battlefield."

Video introduces the DLC and the hot new tie-and-sweatshirt look that's
taking over the runways of Paris. Word is the DLC comes alongside a free update
for the game's Map Editor, and word that another free content update is expected
at the beginning of the new year:
In Spring 2024, Slitherine took on the
development of Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector, acquiring the rights for the
game’s engine. The new team assigned to Battlesector has worked with effort and
passion on this Astra Militarum, on the game’s build and on a major free update
on map editor, which was released concurrently with the DLC.
During Slitherine Next exciting news was revealed by the team: the current
developers are working on a thrilling narrative campaign and a mysterious new
game mode, along with a free major update coming at the beginning of 2025.
Slitherine is proud of its 2024 work and it is enthusiastic about future
developments for the franchise in 2025.
