Train Sim World 5 is now available for PC, Game Pass, and consoles, and
the Windows edition of the new installment in the series is stationed on the
Epic Games Store
and
Steam. This launches with loads of DLC since it's backwards compatible with
previous versions. And while that suits veteran, there's something for newcomers
as well in the Free Starter pack, which includes a training center to train you
to train. Here's the
launch trailer and here's more:
Conductor Mode, a long-requested
feature from players, is now a full game mode in the three core routes. Players
can check tickets, operate doors, and keep bags clear of the aisles while the AI
handles the driving. Route Hopping enables seamless transitions between routes
with shared locations, allowing for gameplay sessions up to 200 miles across
three route add-ons.
The three new city-centric routes – London, Los Angeles, and Frankfurt –
showcase these features and Train Sim World’s core driving experience. Germany’s
high-speed, tilting ICE-T joins America’s biofuel-powered Metrolink MP36PH-3C in
the fleet. British railfans will appreciate the inclusion of the West Coast Main
Line, and Deluxe Edition players can tilt their way through Wembley, Watford,
and Milton Keynes in the iconic Avanti West Coast
Pendolino.
