Bungie Celebrates 10 Years of Destiny with Roadmap

Bungie celebrates ten years of Destiny with this post discussing the past and future of the first-person shooter series that debuted ten years ago today. The original Destiny was a console-only affair, so PC gamers are really only about to commemorate seven years of the series, thanks to the launch of Destiny 2 for Windows in October 2017. The destiny of Destiny is outlined in a post called Paving the Way for New Frontiers that lays out a roadmap for a new annual support cycle for Destiny 2. Here's a bit:

This roadmap lays out our plan for Year 11 and beyond, with some exciting changes to our annual model:

  • Two Expansions per year
  • Four Major Updates of FREE content every year
