Magic Pie announces POLYARIS, a single-player first-person survival game
set in a post-apocalypse arctic environment coming to PC via the Epic Games
Store and Steam
in Q1 of next year. A twist shown off in the previous
Official Announcement
Teaser Trailer is that skiing is the game's main mode of transportation. It
also features a snappy 56K modem connection and glimpses of other modern touches
like Polaroids, an M1 Garand rifle, and pop-top soda cans. Here's

You play as an engineer-polar explorer who finds himself in the wrong place at the wrong time: somewhere in the far north on the border of Norway and Russia. A nuclear war occurs, but since you are in the Arctic zone, you are not directly affected, though you lose contact with the world. Now it's just you, your skis, the melting glaciers, and a mystery you must solve (W000).
