Not even a month after
the launch of
Eden Genesis
on Steam, Aeternum Game Studios announces
Eden Survivors, an upcoming
cyberpunk sequel that stops short of the exodus that would follow its biblical
allusions. The original is an action/platformer while the follow-up is a
survival bullet-hell shooter played from an isometric perspective. There's no
separate video yet, but the
Steam
Listing has footage of it in action along with screenshots. There's no date
yet but word is it's in "an advanced state of development, and Steam says it's
"coming soon" to Early Access. Here's more on the second bite at this
apple:
Hordes of enemies and a bullet hell is what awaits us in the next
project from Aeternum Game Studios, a game that is in an "advanced state of
development" and that will be released very soon as an Early Access title. The
few details that have been revealed so far talk about a survivors title,
influenced by the best representatives of the genre such as Deep Rock Galactic
Survivors, Brotato, and, of course, Vampire Survivors, but with gameplay and
style adapted to the cyberpunk world that we saw in Eden Genesis.
With Eden Survivors, the developers aim to expand the universe of their new IP,
transporting the players to a battlefield where they must hold out for 20
minutes against an unstoppable legion of aliens. To face this threat, we'll take
control of a pilot linked to a special mecha, with different combat skills and
passive abilities. Following the path of this type of games, our combat robot
will automatically shoot as we move through the ruins of Eden City, allowing us
to choose between different advantages and weapons as we progress through the
game, which adds an interesting RPG component when choosing our own combat
style.
