MicroProse announces Dagger Directive, which will take a stab at the
tactical first-person shooter genre when it arrives
on Steam,
though it doesn't yet carry a release date. The

shows off gameplay, including an arsenal that goes well beyond the dagger, so a
literal interpretation of the title misses the point. Here's more on the first
full game from Arcane Alpacas, which has previously worked on add-on

MicroProse is proud to announce its latest publishing venture: Dagger Directive. This tactical first-person shooter (FPS) promises to deliver a gripping, player-driven experience that combines modern mechanics with a nostalgic visual style.
In Dagger Directive, players will take on the role of a member of Task Force Dagger, an elite international special forces unit tasked with saving the world from a variety of threats. The game offers three distinct campaigns, each set in diverse global environments—from battling eco-terrorists in the icy waters of the Bering Sea to halting international crime in the South Pacific and combating extreme nationalism in the heart of Eastern Europe.
