Rebellion announces
Sniper Elite: Resistance, a new installment in the
World War II sharpshooting series coming to PC and consoles in 2025, with the
Windows edition targeting the Epic Games Store, Steam, and PC Game Pass. This
is not
Sniper Elite 6, as it is described as "a gripping new standalone
story that runs in parallel with
Sniper Elite 5." The
Reveal Trailer shows
off signature elements from the series, including sprawling maps, stealthy
combat, and, of course, capping Nazis. It doesn't show any gruesome X-ray
shots of your victims, but the announcement says that feature is returning, so
it may be omitted from the video so YouTube will finally allow a video from this series to be embedded. Word is you'll work with the resistance to fight the threat of, let's call
them secret weapons of the Luftwaffe or the like:
Sniper Elite: Resistance
tells a gripping new standalone story that runs in parallel with Sniper Elite 5.
Harry Hawker, agent of the Special Operations Executive (SOE), takes the lead
role for the first time in the series as he discovers an insidious new
Wunderwaffe - something so powerful, it guarantees the Nazis would win the war.
Offering the unparalleled sniping mechanics, stealth and tactical third-person
combat you would expect from the franchise, Sniper Elite: Resistance turns the
attention towards the hidden war, far from the front lines, deep within the
heart of occupied France.
Kill List targets, multiple infiltration and extractions points and side
missions allow player agency on how to complete your
objective.
