SolForge Fusion Goes Free-to-Play; Adds macOS

SolForge Fusion is now free-to-play on Steam, offering unfettered access to this CCG card-battler co-designed by Richard Garfield of Magic: The Gathering fame. The game has also now launched a macOS client. The final bit of news for the game is a price reduction across the board for Starter Decks, Alpha Boosters, and White Fang Pass boosters. Since this is a bit of a rug pull for those who paid cash money for a copy this post explains that these customers will receive the following compensation:
Current owners of SolForge Fusion will receive a free booster pack (includes 4 Faction Decks), and complimentary access to the all-new Premium Mastery Track.

The Premium Mastery Track will be unlocked for existing players but will be a paid feature for new free-to-play users. Additionally, all players who purchased the game before our transition to free-to-play will receive a free Digital Booster Pack containing four free decks. We’ll announce how current players will claim those decks soon.
