The Bethesda Slayers Club announces the availability of a public beta of idStudio, editing software which allows the creation and uploading of modifications for DOOM Eternal, the latest installment in id's shooter series (thanks Frans). There's also an opt-in PC Mod Preview to allow players to easily browse and play such mods. The Mod Preview is available on Steam and for Xbox Insiders, while the idStudio beta is only on Steam. A new id Studio Website welcomes the mod community, and outlining the details, and providing a DOOM Eternal Mods FAQ.

We are so impressed with the DOOM Eternal community mods created without any official tools. They inspired us to release a public beta of idStudio for creators and an opt-in PC Mod Preview for players to easily browse and play mods. We can’t wait to see what this community does next!

DOOM Eternal Update 6.66 Rev 3 adds the ability for PC Steam and Microsoft Store community members to opt-in to DOOM Eternal: PC Mod Preview. This allows players to browse, download, and play mods.
