As promised (story), id Software's Robert Duffy updated his .plan to announce that the version 1.29h patch for Quake III Arena is now available, albeit only for Win32. The file is available from their ftp server (25.5 MB) and you should also be able to upgrade via the auto-updater. Here is a local copy with mirrors, and here are the details:

The 1.29h point release is up. You can auto-update to it from 1.29f or 1.29g or grab the whole sha-bang from our ftp. The Linux version will be up asap. This is STILL a beta, we plan to go final with it after QuakeCon.
