A story on Computer and Video Games has the announcement Worms Blast, the long-rumored 3D installment in the long running wacky series of Worms games. The game's official unveiling comes on the occasion of Ubi Soft's announcement that they have obtained world-wide rights to publish the game for PC, PlayStation 2, Game Boy Advance and GameCube systems. In addition to the change from 2D to 3D, Worms Blast will also be the first real-time iteration in what has been up to now a turn-based series. Gaming Age has posted a story with the same batch of details, but they also have a couple of shots of 3D Worms models to decorate theirs.
