A report on The Adrenaline Vault has the news that Shadows of Reality, the planned Unreal-engine first-person RPG that intended to follow the lead of such thinker-shooters as System Shock and Deus Ex, has been shelved by developer Nevolution, citing personnel losses and lack of funding as the cause. They quote Nevolution's Steve Adkins on the subject of whether the project can be revived: "Maybe when the game industry is a little more favorable to original ideas and not sequels, we will see what we can do."
