MOBILE SUIT GUNDAM BATTLE OPERATION 2 is now available for Windows
on Steam, following the PlayStation launch of the free-to-play mech game.
The
STEAM Launch Trailer shows off gameplay and Bandai Namco's penchant for
random capitalization. For fans of the series, the announcement explains where
this fits on the timeline:
Based on GUNDAM’s “Universal Century” timeline,
MOBILE SUIT GUNDAM BATTLE OPERATION 2 features intense 6v6 online team combat
that immerses pilots from around the world in epic battles. Players can battle
in their favorite Mobile Suits in land and space. They can also fight against
other pilots in Infantry Battles, where they can enter and exit their mecha for
strategic ground-based combat that can tip the tide of battle, placing bombs in
enemy bases, repairing their units, or requesting support fire.
MOBILE SUIT GUNDAM BATTLE OPERATION 2 features over 350 Mobile Suits and 17
playable maps inspired by iconic locations based on the popular anime series.
Pilots can personalize their favorite units with different loadouts and
customization options using DP, in-game currency they earn in battle. New mecha,
weapons, and other items can be collected with Supply Drops that are purchased
with Tokens, the premium currency in the game.
