The official Steel Soldiers site now offers an updated demo (Flash required) for the 3D action RTS by The Bitmap Brothers that should arrive on store shelves in the near future. This version 3.0 demo is notably smaller than the previous release (story), at least in its English incarnation as that clocks in at 30.2 MB (the German, Italian and Spanish versions are around 52 MB), and still offers the same demo mission as before, but now with "an improved silky-smooth control system, better route-finding, new objectives and a downright ruthless AI."
