Jim "Rellik" McDougald won an auction to visit id Software, and he has written up a report that's online over at NewDoom.com. The article contains his description of everything he saw at id, including a brief description of the DOOM engine, about which Jim says, "don't be fooled by the movie from the Tokyo Mac show, in person the game looks much better."
