In our follow-up (story) about the ASUS drivers cheating situation (story) we published an email from ASUS forwarded along to us by a reader. Though it is hard to sort through the confusion of exactly what happened, it looks like it's possible this letter was sent to one site in particular, a Belgian site named deCURSOR, who published it in an article called Asus disables hardware cheats. After doping through all that, the result is to offer apologies to deCURSOR for failing to properly link back to them on this news, and to point out that if that mail was not actually sent out to all who participated in their online survey, but to a single site in Belguim, it seems to bring into question whether this represents ASUS' true intents regarding suppressing the cheating drivers. I guess we'll know soon enough.
